2. Soothes the Mind and Aids Sleep

3. Strengthens the Spleen and Nourishes the Stomach

Treats indigestion and loss of appetite.

4. Provides Antioxidant Effects

Delays skin aging and boosts immunity.

Are these benefits tempting? Without further ado, let's learn how to make this delicious soup.

Ingredients:

10g Tremella (tear into small pieces after soaking);

15g Lotus Seeds (remove the core to prevent bitterness);

10 Goji Berries;

Appropriate amount of Rock Sugar (or sugar substitute).

Instructions:

Soak the Tremella in cold water for 2 hours and rinse the lotus seeds.

After soaking, chop the Tremella and add the lotus seeds and simmer for about 1 hour (until a gelatinous texture appears).

While simmering, bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and cook the lotus seeds. Finally, simmer until the gelatin is released.

After the gelatin is released, add the wolfberries and simmer for another 10 minutes before turning off the heat.

The recipe seems simple, doesn't it? So, why can it treat so many ailments? Let's explain the underlying principles.

Tream Fungus: Tremella polysaccharides (over 60%) can enhance immune cell activity and promote collagen synthesis.

Lotus Seeds: The lotus seed core is alkaline and contains raffinose, which has a calming effect (GABA receptor regulation) and can repair the gastrointestinal mucosa.

Goji Berries: Lycium barbarum polysaccharides and beta-carotene can scavenge free radicals (antioxidants) and improve eyesight.

⚠️ Precautions

Contraindications:

During a cold (the greasy properties of Tremella fuciformis may worsen symptoms)

Those with loose stools (the astringent properties of lotus seeds may worsen symptoms)

Upgraded Combinations:

Coughing up blood/sore throat: Add 10g of lily bulbs

Severe insomnia: Add 5g of Chinese jujube kernels

Summary:

Drinking soup is not a medical treatment and will not have an immediate effect on symptoms. Improving your health through food is called diet therapy. Diet therapy requires long-term practice and is less painful than taking medication or hospital treatment. It improves your health through daily life. Through diet therapy, you can reduce hospital visits and avoid the pain of hospital treatment or the pain of medication. For your own health, those who have the means should try it now.
